Often the issues that have arisen over three decades can be extinguished through a thorough client & facility understanding of each others wants & needs!

VACCINES - THE FOLLOWING VACCINES ARE REQUIRED TO USE OUR SERVICES.

RABIES - A State & County mandate when your pets come in after there second cycle of puppy shots. We can board them ALWAYS if the veterinarian approves.

DISTEMPER - A yearly vaccine once your puppy reaches adulthood that is administered to immunize your dog against (D)distemper, (H)hepatitis, (L) leptospirosis, (P)parainfluenza and (P)parvovirus.

BORDETELLA - "In a boarding kennel, kennel cough is one of the most common contagious diseases you face, so vaccination is important to the dogs in your care. For dogs visiting a groomer, it is more debatable as the risk is slightly less. The vaccine is a live virus and can cause a mild form of the disease, so there are reasons to discuss the pros and cons of the vaccine for your dog with your vet. Yes, the vaccine recommendations have gotten complex in recent years, and the only answer is to find a vet that you trust and follow their recommendations. As you said, just as we must choose which vaccines to give our human children, the dog parent must gather information to make the best decision they can for their canine child." Ceasar Milan
Rabies - Usually done with a triple series of puppy Rabies vaccines - Following Rabies is administered either every 1 or every 3 years
Distemper - This used to come in a 1-year vaccine & now most have switched to 3.
Bordetella - Most Controversy - See Ceasar Milan Article
There is much debate about the vaccine & its efficacy.
We still follow the guidelines of most veterinarians, we require the vaccine every 1-year.
In the State of Michigan Kennel Pet Techs may administer all vacines except Rabies - We offer Bordetella & Distemper at a rate double that of the highest vet - We want you to see your veterinarian as recommended.
How Often
At All American Pet Resorts we have maintained a great relationship with local veterianarians; during busy time, guess what? They are busy also. Your Vaccines are preferred in advance. Should we need to enter them at the time of check-in, a $5 will be charged - If we must call your veterinarian to get the records the charge is $20. If we must call multiple vets due to improper info...the charges can be great!
Pertinent Daycare Policies Enforced Strictly!
Daycare & Aditional Play Time During any given day - A KEY ELEMENT IN SUCCESS IS REALIZING WE HAVE RULES AND A HISTORY OF PROVING THOSE RULES NECESSARY AND BENEFICIAL TO YOUR PETS & OUR STAFF - THERE ARE NO OTHER MOTIVES!
THESE ARE PARAMOUNT POLICIES WITH ATTACHED FEES
Priority Policy #1: We Do Not Allow Pets be Removed From Group While in Session; This is the Single Best way to Harm your pet or Another. Should You Demand We Do So the charge is 200% the daily rate!
Priority Policy #2: Watching Group is a Blast! While we have posted signs explaining such, be advised, approaching Group Play when the pets are in full go-mode has risks as well. 20+ Daycare Pets will rush your spot all at once; fights may be the result
Priority Policy #3: Any Communicable Issues your pet has must be communicated to us; while some fear they will lose their reservation; you are why we have quarantine on the second story above the offices. Should we find cause to investigate, and determine from your veterinarian that you had knowledge which could put other pets at risk, you will NOT be invited back!
THE ABOVE POLICIES ARE SOME OF OUR MOST IMPORTANT, IN REALITY, THEY ARE AS IMPORTANT AS CURRENT VACCINE RECORDS. VIOLATIONS OF THESE POINTS WILL BE ADDRESSED WITH SEVERITY OR PENALTY!
Grooming & Added Options
Vaccinations & Non Agression Are the Requirements
While it does have 2 listed grooming policies, We added the next section to best understand grooming!
The artistic portion of all of our work - pet syling is an art, a highly skilled one that demands much patience from client and groomer alike to achieve the end goal and a style you can count on!
When adding options such as Specialty/Medicated Shampoo, teeth cleaning, anal gland expression please make sure you are aware of the additional charges for these. The best possible thing to do is speak with your chosen groomer, and after the first couple visits, all notes of your desired hair cut for your pup will have been masterfully entered into your records.
NOTE: In order to assure you are 100% satisfied, realize, the groom department is the last impression you get before leaving especially when attached to a stay! If there is bound to be error in your stay, generally it has to do with time of departure. We're talking punctuality order & speed alone. As the client of a facility or a shop, notice they do business similar to us in some ways but in other they operate as do night and day.
Office Hours ARE for two things. First we take all the info we can muster you to give us; then, only allow certain services check in and out between certain times of day ?
